It's fire season in NM and we have several fires within 50 miles of our home. The main one we're worried about it about 15-20 miles from our home. It's scary because this is the area that's burned twice in the past 15 years here and caused the town to evacuate both of those times. The wind blows the fire towards town. Here's a view of the smoke rising above town.
And here's the view of the smoke from our backyard. These photos were taken early on in this fire's life. The fire is now 60% contained and the many fire fighters seem to be working hard and effectively. We had decent rain today (answer to prayers) for a while so hopefully the fire will be out soon.
