Jesus Uses Scissors

So today was a pretty fun day for Travis. So much so that all this evening he was struggling to stay awake. This morning Travis and Dad went geocaching with some friends down in one of the canyons in the center of town. Here is a large bridge we crossed between the two caches we found. We hiked probably over a mile and Travis never slowed down. Whenever we stopped to rest Travis would often say "Dad it's time to get up and keep walking!"

At one point we looked up in the sky and saw a half moon. Dad said to Travis "Look Travis the moon is not a full circle, it's just a half circle." Then Travis replies "Dad it's just hiding in the sky. Jesus used his scissors and cut the moon!" Later Travis also said that Jesus uses tape to tape the moon. Pretty amazing imagination. Don't know where he got that idea, but cool that he realizes the creative (or cutting) power that Jesus has.

Brian's work had a lab picnic today for all employees and their families. They had really good quality hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, drinks, slushies, and cotton candy all for free. They had live music and booths giving away prizes and cool free things (Travis got a free buzzer bell for his bike). They also had the big inflated jump houses and slides for free as well. Travis had a blast doing all the jump houses and doing this slide pictured below over and over. Travis is the one sliding down in the photo. It's so great that this was free because often these cost like $2 just for one turn.

Here's Travis and Mom enjoying their slushies.
