Brian had to go to the ER for his second time after living here for a year and a half. He recognizes the doctors there (it is a small town). On Friday afternoon (Brian's Friday off), Angela went to Santa Fe and Brian and Travis decided to make a pinewood derby car while Lucas slept. Brian decided to use a wood working router to make the first couple cuts on the wood block. Brian didn't think it through completely and put the wood through the wrong direction and the router grabbed the block and sped it through and Brian's index finger on his right hand went with it. Essentially Brian lost his finger print. Brian was very worried it may have gone much deeper. He had a friend come over to watch the boys and another friend come and drive his to the ER (Brian was close to fainting due to all the blood). They didn't stitch anything, as there wasn't anything to stitch together. It should heal normally after a few weeks. Tonight Brian took off the hospital bandage as directed and put a new one on, as seen in the photo below. Travis had a blister come off and had to have a bandaid just like Dad. Travis says "look Dad, it's like the same."

Here's Angela holding a fairly sleepy Lucas while watching the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Whenever they sang Lucas froze and watched until they were done singing. It's rare to get a cuddly moment so we had to take this picture.

Mike and I were discussing, trying to see if we could remember the first trip. Was the first trip his arm? Or was it something different?
Brian broke his left wrist back in Nov. 2006.
