Fort Collins Visit and Rocky Mountain National Park

To finish off our spring break we drove up to Fort Collins to visit our cousins there.  They had a baby girl after having 5 boys and they were going to do the baby blessing that weekend.  We took two of the cousins up to Rocky Mountain National Park in an attempt to go sledding.  As you can see below, there wasn't much snow for sledding.

We did have some fun building a snow fort.

They were ready for any attackers, but nobody ever challenged them before we left.  From L to R it's Lucas, Ryan, Marcus, Carson, and Travis.

On our way out of the park we saw a huge herd of elk, maybe 70 of them.  Here was the only bull we saw of the group.

Here were many of the elk cows grazing.

Then as we drove further we came across 10 rams that were on the side of the road.  This was the cooler sight to see since we often see herds of elk in New Mexico.

At the playground near our cousins' home we stumbled upon a nesting goose who wasn't happy we were trespassing at her house.  5 eggs to keep warm.

We went to Chuck E Cheese as well and just played the games and ate pizza later from Little Caesars.  The kids all wanted cotton candy for their prize at the end.  Travis got a high score of 32,000 at ski ball.

Here's the cute little niece that Angela enjoyed holding often during our visit.

Family pic with the new baby just before we got on the road to head home.

Here's how "great" the sledding was and some footage of the grazing elk.
