It will be a boy!!

Angela had an ultrasound on Thursday and they found out that our 3rd child will be a boy! There were no apparent problems with him from their routine scans on the fetus' development, which was great news. So we'll have an even more high energy family than we currently do. The poll results that we did on our blog ended up at 19 guessing girl and only 5 guessing boy (one of which was Travis). So I guess you could say our new boy beat the odds. Here's a 2-D facial profile ultrasound of our baby.
Here's a 3-D ultrasound image with his face facing to the left and his right arm in kind of a thinking pose against his cheek. We got 3-D images of Travis as well, but for some reason not any of Lucas (they didn't have a 3-D machine in Los Alamos). The image below isn't quite as clear as it was on the computer screen at the doctor's office. Perhaps they saved an image that was slightly out of focus compared to the better images we saw. Brian showed these images in his Physics class today and taught his students about how ultrasounds work.

Congratulations! Those boys will have so much fun together. And when you do have a girl, she'll be so spoiled by all those older brothers. :) Thanks for sharing the ultrasound pictures. That's so exciting!
