Moving to Utah

In mid December we left our Los Alamos apartment and headed to Utah. During the week we moved we got lots of snow in both New Mexico and Utah so it made the driving a bit scary at times. In fact, Brian had to delay his last day because the lab had closed due to too much snow. We used a moving company called ABF. You fill up a semi truck trailer as much as you need and they charge you by the foot (along the length of the truck). They drop off the trailer for a few days for you to load it and then they come pick it up. It's cheaper that doing Uhaul or similar companies and you don't have to pay for the gas nor drive it yourself. Below is a photo of our quad apartment (the end one) the day they picked up our trailer.

We then had to drive both of our cars, so one driver per car. Brian got the shorter straw and had the boys the whole trip (really it was because he can actually reach them while driving with his longer arms). Here's a photo of the boys while driving on I-15 as we entered Utah Valley. Angela is in the car behind us. Brian suprised the boys with the photo.

Here's the moving truck at our new house. It's much bigger than we're used to and it is sooo nice not to share a wall with a neighbor anymore.
