I got to see the city from the top of this tall office building. One of the janitors gave me a personal tour.
Here's the reason I got to go up there. This is one of the largest geocaches I've ever seen. Apparently the head janitor is a geocacher and he placed this one in the machine room of this building. He instructed the front desk staff that when anyone comes in asking to see the geocache, that one of the janitors be called to give them a personal tour up to the cache and then to see the view from the top of the building, cool huh!
I stayed in the Sheraton (on the left). This is the view down Canal St. (I guess a famous street in New Orelans). The flood waters came all the way up to the bases of these two hotels.
Way out there is the ocean and the flood waters essentially covered the entire city area pictured below! The area nearest the building I'm in (mostly bottom right) is the famous French Quater area of New Orleans. The Mississippi River is just behind me and it was huge! Apparently the flood waters stopped a few hundred feet from the river.
